Today you turn five. I can't believe how fast time as flown by. I remember your birth like it was yesterday. We were so anxious for you to come. I ended up being induced on my due date because your nana and papa needed to get back to California, and they wanted to be there for your birth more than anything. Your Aunt Jenn was my labor and delivery nurse and took such good care of me while I labored all day (12 hours). I pushed for two long hours. You were facing the wrong way and made it harder for mommy to get you out! It was worth it though. We were so realived when you were finally in our arms.

You were a great baby. You slept through the night from 6 weeks on. You ate like a champ and were a joy. You weren't born with very much hair but it didn't take long for me to realize that you were a red head. Everyone said it would fall out and come in another color. Good thing it didn't. We love your red hair! It has become our family joke to this day that we can't go anywhere without at least one person commenting on your hair. You and unique and special and we hope you always remember that!

You are going to be starting Kindergarten next month and I am very excited for you and nervous for me! I have been dreading this time of having to let go of you a bit. I want you so badly to stay sweet and innocent. I nervous about the world you have to grow up in. You love to ask questions and discover new things. You have an infectious smile and laugh. Some of your favorite things to do are read books, make crafts, get dirty, play with friends, ride your bike and play at the playground. We can't wait to see your grow this next year. Your daddy and I pray that you will always know how much we love you.

Happy Birthday Anna Banana!

What a beautiful tribute to such a beautiful girl! I can't believe she is five and starting Kindergarten!! I am so going to be that Mom sobbing in her car after dropping her child off for their first day! She's such a beauty.
Yea! Happy Birthday Anna
She is a beautiful girl! I'm a little partial to redheads. . . I married one and three of my six kids are redheads. I hope she had a wonderful birthday. Good luck sending her off on her first day of school. I feel a little emotional every year no matter how old they get.
What a sweet post. Anna is so gorgeous! I love those last few pictures of her especially. Jazlyn just loves Anna.
K, so honestly I've always feared having a redhead but if she looked anything like Anna I'd take it. She's absolutely beautiful...all five years of her!
*sniff* this made me cry. What a sweet tribute to your precious daughter!
